Poetry - Living in a Jar, by Afaan Grewal
Living in a jar. Glass house in which the only thing holding it back is its screwed ceiling. People thieving and stealing within it for freedom? Dreaming-Dom but already Dom-dumb, dead on a flavourless bread and a language bred for terror and destruction. Beyond the walls there’s hope, new world, a reconstruction. Step back, laugh at attack and bring balance. Today, tomorrow and forever, Follow your own instruction and Bank on it, make it move and make it matter. It’s invisible now, stop and see it. If you haven’t got it be it. Hands on labour and plenty-a-ground and the most high beyond screwed ceiling ‘liberty’ to do the living languishing a free-for-all-favour. ©
Jejuneness. Simple. Not. Unsophisticated
